Personal Artworks

Animation was a great fascination growing up. But I didn't expect it to be part of my adult life. I've been drawing cartoons and general illustrations since I was young and finished a degree in Fine Arts, Advertising for college back in the Philippines. With work being more corporate, following guidelines and meeting expectations, there was little time for personal projects. Not until recently that I've gone back to my drawing roots and started my second design degree that I've had the chance to explore my digital coloring and drawing style yet again.

I'd closely study my heroes works until I can replicate it and evolve my style from there. I respect the concept, 'everything is a remix' as so many artists, writers and creatives grow from certain sources.

During my birthday, I was healing from a couple of ligament tares when I decided to draw in bed. Since I was in one spot, might as well create and have fun doodling my favorite characters. This was the moment that set off my decision to keep sketching and keep making art that I like. And I’m very proud of what I’ve done so far.

The activity is giving me balance from work, university and freelancing. It helps me create what I want with only my expectations to feed. Moreover, there has been inquires for personalised artworks from the UK and Australia. I guess people like what they see!
