Gerard Mills

USC Sippy Downs campus was hosting the Gerard Mills nature photography contest. I didn't have much to do during the one week uni break and decided to go strolling on campus, camera in hand, looking out for wildlife to photograph.

PROCESS

PROCESS

To make sure the light was good for taking photographs, I was around campus at 7am. I was hanging around different areas, looking and waiting for the tiniest insect or the biggest bird.

It was also a nice peaceful stroll as USC have nature paths that were relaxing to take. It had just lightly showered but the soil was heavy with mud. It seemed like the perfect environment for different birds species to come out.

My process was to stay in one area for around 10 minutes, waiting til something comes up. It took 2 separate days to capture these amazing animals.
