Shinobi

Exposure Ninja is a UK based award winning online marketing firm in Nottingham. It was named SME Marketing Provided of year 2018 and has sold best-selling digital marketing book titles like 'How to get to the top of Google'.

Flattered to be recommended to the head ninja himself, Tim Cameron-Kitchen and I worked together for 4 years now. Entrusting me to redesign Exposure Ninja's mascot, Shinobi, was an exciting job. Along side this, I was to create branding guidelines that would reflect the companies' visual identity.

By studying character sketches, movement, expressions and development methods, a new kind of Shinobi was born. From an out-of-shape ninja to a more animated and fluid-like character, everyone enjoys seeing Shinobi on a variety of content.

RESULTS

During the 2017 Exposure Ninja live event, attendees expressed love for the character as the change of representation meant a more well-rounded company. Shinobi is being used for different materials like event posters, banners, book covers, shirts, in-house merchandise, company documents and social media posts.
